Durbar square

Kathmandu Durbar square was badly damaged during the 2015 earthquake but in spite of a painfully slow rebuilt I reckon there is still plenty to see.  From dusty temples to colorful people, oh and lots of pigeons.

  1. Hi eric. Do you know what is the minimum cost for hired private porter to hire to EBC? Im tght budget, so yeah but need to hire porter.

      • You could hire a porter via an agency in Kathmandu But it would be just as easy to arrange this yourself on arrival in Lukla. Just ask at one of the lodge owners and a number of porters will be showing up in minutes.

    • As per my previous reply, a porter can be easily hired via one of the lodges in Lukla. The flight from KTM to Lukla can be booked online.
