A weekend in Wellsford

When I’m in New Zealand a lot of what I do revolves around assisting with the care of an Autistic young man. Daniel is almost nineteen but has no functional speech, and a lot of his behaviours are those of a much younger child. As part of his routine, I take him to Wellsford where we stay on a farmlet and follow a set routine with as little variation as possible.  In the mornings we have breakfast in the Cozy cafe (always bacon and eggs) than travel to Mangawhai for a walk on the beach. In the afternoons we go out for a drive or hang out on the farm. And occasionally we stop somewhere and I take some photos.
